Frequently Asked Questions

General Use Questions

You can purchase a professional-grade sprayer for applying treatments inside and outside your home. It consists of the bottle for holding the treatment, a small pump that creates internal pressure that activates the sprayer, and a spray wand. You have full control for even and effortless application of treatments.

The most likely issue is that the container is not pressurized enough. Pump about 15 times before attempting to use the sprayer. Alternatively, some product may have dried in the sprayer tip. The wand can clog if you do not shake the product before use. If you let the product sit for more than an hour, ingredients can settle. Unclogging the sprayer is easy. Unscrew it and soak it in warm soapy water for five to ten minutes, then give it a good rinse. We recommend rinsing the sprayer after each use to prevent build-up the next time you use it.

Fill our duster with insecticide dust about two-thirds full. We use the pressure of the squeeze bottle to direct the dust into cracks and crevices, or deep into carpet and upholstery. Point the delivery spout where you want to apply the dust and gently apply a very thin layer. If you can see the dust, you probably applied too much. A little goes a long way. Insecticide dust works by attaching to pests’ bodies, breaking down their outer shells, and drying out their bodies. We’ve added natural lethal compounds that finish them off.

Bugly formulas don’t require any special storage. You can leave it anywhere. We do recommend it be kept away from open flames. It is best that it not be left where it can freeze. And do keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Before storing your Bugly tools, we recommend giving them a wash with warm, soapy water and a good rinse. That will prevent the build-up of dried material that could eventually affect performance and durability. After cleaning your tools, you can store them anywhere that is convenient for you.

In general, Bugly is safe to apply to any washable surface. That said, an almost unlimited variety of materials can be found in homes, so we can’t guarantee how Bugly will affect any particular surface in your home. We recommend applying Bugly in an inconspicuous spot to see if there is any staining or discoloring.

Safety Concerns

Wash the Bugly treatment off with ordinary soap and water. While Bugly treatments are natural and safe for you and your pets, you probably don’t want them soaking into your skin. You might experience dryness, itching and redness.

Our treatments are safe to use around pets. We recommend you avoid applying treatments directly on your pet. If you do accidently spray your pet, prevent the animal from licking the area and bathe your pet as soon as possible. Bugly may cause skin irritation or, if ingested, vomiting. You may wish to consult with your veterinarian and have the Bugly container or these Bugly labels handy.

Wash your mouth out with water and contact your doctor or the Poison Control Center. Have the Bugly container handy or open these Bugly labels. Bugly is not meant to be consumed and may cause irritation and stomach upset.

No—please don’t soak your skin with Bugly. Bugly is safe if applied according to the directions on the label. It may cause irritation, a rash, dryness, itching or worse if left on your skin. If you do get Bugly on your skin, wash as soon as you can with soap and water.
